The Banner Quilt

Posted on

I was honored with the opportunity to produce a quilt for a customer a few months back. I did a twist on this quilt which I am titling the Banner Quilt since it has a simple banner of blocks as the main focal point.

I found an interesting block that would allow use of a focal fabric in the center. Then I pulled from my stash of fabric to complete the rest of the points.

My favorite fabric is that Grey dot. I think I’m going to have to do a quilt with all polka dots soon.

A closeup of the quilting. I quilted straight lines 1/8 inch away from the seam lines in the blocks. This created a grid across the whole quilt.

Banner Quilt Back

The backing fabric is from Heather Bailey I believe. I’ve had it for about a year in my stash and this was the perfect quilt to use it.
